Welcome to the Central Chapter of C.L.E.A.R.S. web page.  If you have searched through the C.L.E.A.R.S. home page, you know what a great tool the web page can be.

The Central Chapter is located as it says, in the Central part of California.  We span the area from Kern County to the South, Tuolumne to the North, Mono to the East, and Fresno and Merced to the West.  It's exciting to know that anyone living in these areas has access to information about our chapter and are able to make contact.

The Central Chapter holds regular monthly meetings on the third Friday of each month.  We are going to be meeting at 10:30 a.m. for a Board of Directors meeting prior to the 11:00 a.m. general session meeting.  We normally hold the training session after our meeting and lunch.

The training you can receive is invaluable as a Records Supervisor or Manager.  We receive the latest in Legislation information, Department of Justice training pertaining to the release of information, CLETS, Restraining Orders, etc.  Other exciting topics equally as helpful, include ideas on how to improve on supervisor skills, how to improve the quality and quantity of work your department completes, as well as information on Worker's Comp issues and other items that are helpful in our day to day business.  One of the exciting benefits of becoming a member and attending the meetings is the networking that is available to you.  You will meet other supervisors and managers that share some of the same responsibilities and problems that you do.

As a member, you will receive the monthly minutes as well as an overview of the training for the month.  In addition, you will receive the quarterly magazine, California Police Recorder (CPR) that has articles written by all the chapter presidents, as well as many other members of C.L.E.A.R.S.  The information you receive from this periodical is also invaluable.  You may also want to host a meeting and provide the training.  The meetings are held in various locations/agencies throughout the chapter.

We in the Central Chapter welcome anyone that is interested in attending a meeting and hopefully becoming a member.  Please come to share your knowledge and expertise in your field.  You may also wish to join a particular committee and/or become an officer of the chapter.  It is a very rewarding place to be.

You may contact me if you have any questions pertaining to attending or becoming a member.  You may also complete your membership application and mail it along with your dues, to the person designated in the information.

We look forward to meeting you!
